Unfortunately I have always felt a distance from previous images of Christ in that he is rarely depicted smiling. It is the pictures of Him and John the Baptist smiling that speaks to. In other words, we wanted a story book of the Life of Jesus that we could sit down and read without flipping all over the Bible to capture all of the stories from the 4 gospels.
